It was a virgin lake. Untouched by man or anything living.
One may say it is beautiful, One could stand over it and simply peer through and One's soul would be purified as would their every thought be cleared of doubt. The lake offered clarity -- pellucid as the water itself.
Yet clarity came with a price.
It is said that water is life's matter and matrix, mother and medium.
That there is no life without water.
Yet, this lake has failed to nurture and sustain life.
Unlike the other Seven Sacred Lakes of Masaya.

There is a tale behind the Lake of Clarity.
A tale based upon a series unfortunate events.
There was once a strange girl. A girl who seeked knowledge. She was grieving over the sudden death of her sweetheart, who had one night simply vanished and had one night simply been found dead upon the recovery of a body; The body of a man that drowned.
The girl seeked knowledge. She wanted to complete her sweetheart's conquest -- to look for the Seventh Lake. She found a vile in the dead man's jacket, of water as clear as glass.
The girl who seeked knowledge knew well that the vile contained water from the Seventh Lake. The First Sacred Lake had water red as blood. The Second Sacred Lake had sludgy dark brown water, like that of a swamp's. The Third Sacred Lake had water as gold as Masaya's Third Sun. The Fourth Sacred Lake had water as blue as the sky. The Fifth glimmered rainbow like an opal. And the Sixth Sacred Lake stayed frozen.
