My earliest memory is of being a tiny hatchling, digging through the sand to then go flipping down the beach. Trying to get to the water before the seagulls got me. With my siblings, we were a big bunch heading for the ocean. Of course some don't hatch, and some don't make it through the sand to the air. Then some get taken. It's why there's so many of us, so that some will make it to the ocean and get to grow up. I was one of the lucky ones.

As a youngling, I need a LOT of protein. Sea grass and seaweed weren't enough to help me grow. I found a passion for shellfish. Crustaceans in particular, but molluscs are welcome. My favourites are prawns and lobster, followed by crabs and scallops. Anywhere I could find them, I'd go hunting.
