This is a brave fellow who endured a lot in life so that others could live. He certainly did not volunteer for the job, and often wished that he never saved a single life.
Well, not the life of a human anyway.
Schadling was a lab rat, one who unfortunately died due to certain tasks that mutated him. You see, what was once a rat became a rat boy, and what was once dead became the living dead. As you can imagine, this was more than a little shocking for all those involved, certainly not excluding the young rat who had been enjoying the afterlife in death.
But maybe out of this bad deed, good will grow.
Maybe someone's life could be saved. Someone who really deserved to live.Someone like the lab rats that Schalding knew and loved.
Once that thought got into his head, Schalding decided that would be his life mission. From that day on, the little undead rat boy has saved as many friends as possible.
