Mosaic is an ancient Vampire, one of the few remaining 'true' vampires that exist (born a vampire). He is multi-faceted; having received the memories of all those he has killed or turned Vampire, he has been able to gain some notion of humanity. Unlike the majority of his kind, who disregard sentimentality towards humankind, he to some extent struggles with what his is, and has made tentative efforts towards kinship with humans.
