Tohuwabohu - A lesser form of Chaos

There was something so untouchable about him, it made her wonder if he was even really there anymore. When his gaze rested upon her, it was like it wasn't directed at her at all, as if he saw or wished to see something else, something only he could understand. The seldom times he actually talked to her made her shiver; there was something so final in his voice, something that had accepted. It was as they weren't one, but pieces of a jigsaw that didn't fit anymore.
Maybe his mind had flown off to the stars a long time ago, leaving her alone on earth to miss him. Maybe his soul already rested in the skies, far away from her. His heart still lingered with her, she knew, but that was going to fade.
