The dog that solved the crime. Cats look on disapprovingly.

The Atebus Revolution Masquerade was struck by a terrible tragedy, as Yernon Yun was murdered via blunt force trauma by his business partner Marcel Martenez. Inspector Thorpe from the Atebus Police service was quick on the scene and declared the south antechamber a crime scene."I first thought the case would be easy to solve on my own. It seemed a simple enough crime, but I kept getting conflicting statements from guests and kept discovering more motives," said Inspector Thorpe, who was now comfortably seated in his office "I couldn't find a scrap of evidence to pin it on anyone. I realised I would have to get a friend in on the case to help find any" he said.
That friend turned out to be a Police bloodhound, known only as 'Investigate'. This resourceful dog helped find evidence, which incriminated Marcel Martenez as the culprit.

The evidence revealed that Vernon Yun had applied for permission to mine for an ore, which powered robotic creatures. These robotic creatures were created at first as soldiers, but Mr. Yun found more positive used for them, as companions. It was thought that the creatures had begun to malfunction, as they once attacked Mr. Yun, but it was discovered later that Marcel Martenez had begun to reprogramme them to be soldiers again. The reasoning was originally unclear, but Marcel was having some financial difficulty. It is thought he approached the Blackmoon Company without the permission of Vernon in the hope of making some money from the robotic creatures.
The dog also found the murder weapon in the North Antechamber with his remarkable nose. He delivered all the evidence to Inspector Thorpe, so the arrest could be made.

Marcel Martenez was a long term business partner of Mr. Yun. He fled to a secret chamber filled with weaponised robotic creatures before the arrest could be made. "We were sitting on a huge potential, the biggest advancement of warfare technology in years, and what does he do? He makes a tin can with feelings. No, it wasn't just about the money. It was about making a contribution to society, to Blackmoon, to Atebus" he admitted when resisting arrest. A conflict started as Mr. Martenez began to attack guests in a weaponized suit, in an attempt to make the delivery to the Blackmoon Corporation.

Masquerade guests banded together to help prevent Marcel Martenez from leaving, finding a defect in the suit, causing the suit's destruction. In the process, Marcel Martenez was dealt a fatal blow by the suit, striking him deceased.

"It was unfortunate that Mr. Martenez was not brought to official justice," stated Inspector Thorpe "But I think the guests were courageous when they prevented Mr. Martenez from escaping, so the Atebus Police Force owes them our gratitude" he added.

Jules Yun, son of Vernon Yun and heir to the company declined to comment. Victoria Ventura, the niece of Marcel Martenez also refused to comment on the situation.
