Auzer Von Schnauzer is my registered mini schnauzers name. This online pet is a special one that represents my real life best bud, he is pictured down below. If you would like to learn more about my mighty dog Auzer.To begin Auzer’s story I have to go to before he was born. I lost Raider, my dog of 20 years. I suffered his loss immensely and it took me a little over 2 years to get over his loss, although, I still think of him constantly when I look into Auzer’s eyes. Anyway, one day my husband, Oscar, asked me if I would like to start looking for another dog. He said, “I know you miss Raider, and I feel like you would be much happier if you had another dog.” Well that put the thought into my head that perhaps it was time to start looking for a new pet……So that started my search for my little Auzer, but I didn’t know quite yet which dog to get!
I started scanning all the newspapers, magazines, and T.V. watching for just the right one that I would like to get, I came across some Schnauzers in Idaho, which was about 400 miles round trip from where we live, but the people that owned them sounded like they really needed to find homes for their new pups. There was nothing to do but make the trip! When we saw all the pups it was hard to choose which one! They were all so cute!! But, one in particular kept coming back to us begging for our attention and to be played with. So even though we were going to choose his sister..he won our hearts. I told my husband that the dog chose us…and that is the way it should be. My husband was driving, so that left me to bond with Auzer, and we played all the way home! (Of course my husband says the drive home gave me more leverage on the bonding issue, but I believe Auzer just likes women.) He was so full of energy on the drive and I was so happy to have him but almost sad at the same time because my mind kept going back to Raider and all his exploits. In the last few years Auzer has become part of my heart, something I didn’t think could happen again. Of course my husband is overjoyed about him too. Oscar loves watching us play. He enjoys him as well..the fight is on when it is bedtime or making the bed. LOL! Auzer has had a lot of medical problems, pancreantitus being the worse one, from which he almost died. We got him right to the vet..and he is on a special diet..doing great now! I believe if people try to understand their animals and their personalities, they will have an everlasting bond. Auzer is a member of the family, it would be tragic to lose him. I love him dearly. Being a cancer patient myself..he helps to keep me in a good mood and stress free, (most of the time, wink, smile.
