The Alchemist
notes about Fabiyn while I work on him:
Fabiyn is a literal genius that was a childhood prodigy at alchemy. Almost refused to go with Virgil because it meant he would have had to leave the alchemist guild, where he was regarded as the best. However, working for the gods directly is sort of a bigger deal, so Fabiyn eventually gave in.
Hates speaking to anyone of lesser intelligence, which is almost everyone. Especially hates Yana, who is, according to Fabiyn, an absolute idiot. Absolutely despises talking about himself and his past (unless it’s to talk about how great he is).
• Physically 19-20 years old.
• Works under Psione as the sage of science
• Sort of messy strawberry blonde hair and brown eyes; always wears glasses.
• Very freckly. Hates how cute they make him look.
• Wears a lot of brown because he wants to waste as little time on getting dressed as possible.
• Wears one physical item that really stands out - a rather large, pink ribbon he wears in his hair almost all the time. Rumor has it it was a gift from his brother (probably the only person he ever cared about) back when he was still a mortal.
• Enjoys making healing items for Bronwyn; really enjoys making explosive things for Emrys.
• Arrogant, hostile, and honestly just sort of an overall jerk.
• While not outwardly disrespectful to the gods, he doesn’t go out of his way to be particularly polite to them.
• Fun fact - Fabiyn was originally a character of mine on Ragnarok Online. His RO version could have been this arrogant and hostile, but his childhood trauma essentially stripped him of self confidence. For this iteration of Fabiyn, I wanted to explore what he would be like with his self confidence intact. The answer is, he's a jerk.
