Has no one told you she's not breathing?

Name: Felippe
Alias: Mercury
Age: 18
Occupation: None
Summary: Once Merc hit first grade, his lips began to secrete a strong toxin, this toxin being a mutation of mercury. Before this change occurred Merc was a sweet but shy boy who loved the company of others. Now, after leaving home at the age of 15 (This being around the time Felippe began to refer to himself as Mercury) Merc has forced himself to become withdrawn so he doesn't hurt those he cares about. He rarely goes anywhere that isn't necessary, and usually wears inconspicuous clothing or the occasional doctor's mask to stop any of the mercury from dripping onto the ground or anything anyone might touch.
Over time Merc learned that the toxin's effects can be stopped, and in some cases reversed, if the victim ingests his own blood. If by some chance someone Mercury knows does come in contact with his mercury he is able to quickly cut or bite his arm and feed the person his blood, therefore saving their life and preventing any physical or mental damage the toxin might have ravaged their body with. Depending on the amount of mutated mercury the person came into contact with governs how much of Merc's blood they must intake.

"Happy Valentine's Day!" A small pudgy girl shouted, shoving an envelope towards Felippe, an expression of pure joy plastered across her freckled face. The six year old boy took the envelope hesitantly, his own small smile growing.

"T-thank you!" he replied hesitantly, opening the folded piece of paper and gasping happily as a small chocolate fell out. He gingerly picked the piece of candy up off the playground's grass and stuck it in his short's pocket. Looking up, his face fell.

"I didn't get you anything; Mommy said we didn't have the money to get cards for everybody so we shouldn't get any at all to be fair." Felippe watched the girls face uncertainly. Her joyous expression stayed in place.

"That's ok! You can gimme' this!" And with one quick motion the small girl grabbed Felippe's arms and gave him a large kiss on the lips, the kind that kids think princesses give out often. Felippe's eyes widened, and he felt his face grow very VERY hot. The little girl released her 'prince' and giggled. "That was fun!" She exclaimed before skipping off carelessly, probably to go on the swings before the teachers called all the children back to class.

Felippe stood very still, and it wasn't just from the shock of the little girl's actions. He carefully wiped his mouth and looked at his sleeve. Shimmery silver goo lined the fabric, and Felippe's heart began to pound. Touching two fingers to his lips Felippe met the same wetness, and it wasn't from the girl's sparkly, scented lip-gloss. Felippe continued to lick his lips and was met with a disgusting metallic taste. Maybe he'd eaten something weird? Feeling self-conscious, the skinny boy ran to the nearest school building and rushed inside to find a bathroom.

Standing on tiptoes over a sink, Felippe stared at his mouth in utter confusion. Little silver-green dots of liquid seemed to be popping out from his lips, his lower lip especially. Felippe grabbed a paper towel and wiped his mouth furiously, the shiny goo covering the no longer white paper. Looking back in the mirror Felipe let out something between a yelp and a moan as more shiny dots appeared.

After that Valentine's Day, the girl who had kissed Felippe seemed to show up to school less and less, each time looking sicker... coughing... And her beautiful smile was gone. She also stopped looking people in the eye, and seemed to see things no one else could.

Felippe tried to hide whatever was happening with his lips best he could, though his parents became very confused when he suddenly no longer wanted hugs or help brushing his teeth. He was worried that whatever had gotten on the girl was making her feel yucky. He was just a kid, he didn't want to hurt anybody, and didn't even know if he had.

A few weeks later the girl died.

It was mercury poisoning.
