- Fallen angel. Former soldier turned assassin. Became disillusioned with his maker and decided to join the rising rebellion. It ended poorly - his new "god" sent him to infiltrate a resistance camp and murder a high-ranking commanding officer of the resistance forces. Against better judgment, he grew close to some of the soldiers in that camp, realized his mistake after the deed was done and fell from grace, disillusioned with the world and regretting joining the rebels. He was captured immediately after, among all the chaos, and is sitting in a second resistance camp with the survivors, awaiting his trial.
- Gradually realized the futility of laws and order among his kind, noticing that they were leading themselves instead of being guided by their god. Disappointed and angry, he refused to accept his own predicament and refused to accept that despair and suffering were now the only thing left for those that still worshiped their maker. Especially since his own god rejected those who had fallen and failed their purpose.
- Realizing that he would be waiting for his trial for quite a while, he turned to exploring the new gifts his fall from grace had bestowed upon him. Imriel realized quickly that he could temporarily, with some effort and focus, take on the form of any beast he was familiar with. He can also dissipate into a shadowy mist, and re-shape and materialize parts of himself while in that form. As a result, he is never truly unarmed and never truly helpless.
- Very,
very slow to trust others, but still fiercely loyal to his own kind. Especially to those who cannot fend for themselves, or have fallen upon harder times than most. Isn't quite fussed by insults directed at him and will take such things in stride, but those who have taken to insulting or harassing the people he is fond of have often gone missing, or ended up mauled when a wild beast inexplicably found its way into their camp.
- Has thrown his respect for most laws to the wind and has often stolen food from the higher-ranking soldiers and various merchants in order to leave it to the wounded and the homeless.
- Is curious, intelligent and a sweet-talker, making him a challenge to befriend, let alone enlist as an ally. Unforgiving and downright merciless if crossed.

Character appearance:
- Average height. Fit and lean, downright sinewy. Humanoid in appearance.
- Dark ashy skin, gradually growing to a lighter grey and lightest on his hands and feet.
- Face is covered by a dinged, scratched up silvery mask that can be taken off, but it's generally not advisable. The mask itself is animate, he can change its expression at will, including blinking, moving the eyes and smiling. People generally consider this little quirk unnerving, much to his amusement.
- Has white-speckled wings with many tattered feathers. Geared toward maneuverability.
- Dressed simply and very lightly - was stripped of his gear when he was arrested. Currently, his attire primarily consists of whatever rags he's given, his shackles and chains, and footwraps.
