The General Idea:

Neois was always fascinated with plants and tried to be like the glade pets. But no matter what he did plants would wither and die any time he came near them. It was probably for the best since it wasn't long before his eyes became sensitive to lights and he had to hide himself away during the day. However he started to notice something, his glowing was giving just enough light to grow small fungi and other light sensitive plants! He started to study these strange plants and experiment with other sensitive plants and soon his collection had grown to giant proportions.
