Caballerial

Medusas are freakin' awesome pets! Who cares about the stone gaze thing? Not me, that's for sure!

When she was around 11 or 12, Chancy's parents finally gave in and let her adopt a pet. Always the risk-taker, Chancy decided that her pet was going to be rare, awesome, and potentially dangerous. She fell in love with the baby Medusa as soon as she laid eyes on her (so to speak) and took her home right away, ignoring her parents' complaints. Luckily, Medusa age differently to most creatures; it takes centuries for them to fully mature. Because of this, Caballerial (as she eventually came to be known as) does not yet have the ability to turn people completely into stone just by looking at them - she can only turn small parts of them (i.e. arms, legs) to stone. It's unknown when her stone gaze will strengthen, although it likely won't be until long after Chancy's death - Medusa are incredibly long-lived, after all. Chancy adores Caballerial, and refuses to listen to any criticism of her (in particular, that she isn't exactly the safest pet around). So what if she could turn Chancy into stone? That's what sunglasses are for!
