Split Enz were a New Zealand band formed in 1972. Unfortunately, for the rest of the world, they only found real success in their home country and Australia. They broke up in 1984, with two of their main members forming the band Crowded House in 1985. Crowded House enjoyed much more chart success in the US and UK throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s.
