Cornelia was the lovely, brilliant twin sister of Cornell Devereux. Why the past tense you ask? Well... it's complicated, but she's kind of dead. Well, sort of mostly dead. She's the first even close to successful Graveyard Experiment and not entirely willingly. She's lost almost ALL of her memory and remembers very little beyond her early past and her name. Sadly, this also includes the day she died. This may be fortunate for her, though- after all, if she knew her murderer...
Before she died, Cornelia was a bright young woman, if a little cold. She was beautiful, rich, intelligent- but equally prideful, blunt and arrogant. She was said to have two great loves in life: chemistry and her brother. She spent a great deal of her time with him in their shared labratory- him contentedly tinkering with machinery, and her equally content to use dangerous chemicals to discover their properties. For her, this time was peaceful, almost idyllic, and seemed to last forever...
But the sad fact was that it didn't. Following a gala held at the Devereux Mansion on January 26th, Cornelia Devereux mysteriously lost her life, and the case was closed with relative speed- the killer's trail had gone cold.
But Cornell just could not tolerate this loss, no, he couldn't bear it at all, surely there was an answer and he could see her-- ah, of course. Why not just... bring her back? Surely, it couldn't be hard. Not with his knowledge, and her notes...! And so Cornelia became the first true Graveyard experiment. Over the course of 3 years, Cornell performed increasingly mad experiments in the name of bringing back his dear, dear sister.
As it stands, Cornelia has no true goals. She's locked in a basement, after all. However she's certainly enjoying herself with the chemistry sets her brother left her with.
Before she died, Cornelia was cool and apathetic, hardly giving a damn for anyone else. Blunt, sarcastic and bone-cuttingly witty, the only thing more easily noticeable than her beauty was her brilliant mind. Despite these positive traits, Cornelia was not the most sociable person and preferred the company of her brother and her experiments... and tended to be more than a bit cold to anyone who was not either. This seems to have changed with her death- the current Cornelia is a great deal friendlier to anyone who happens to discover her, perhaps out of loneliness.
