Cocíto: [Koh-Chee-Toh] (from the Greek "Cocytus", which means "whail","lament","cry" ).
Cocito is the frozen lake placed at the bottom of Hell in Dante's lore, in the Ninth Circle, the house of traitors and prison of Lucifer. This river have the same origin of all the others rivers in Hell, but Lucifer froze it by flapping his wings when he fallen in Earth. The sinners are buried in ice, some entirely, others with some parts of their devasted bodies exposed to the frozen gusts, all forstbitten and crying. The most relevant traitors, Judas, Cassius and Brutus, are constantly chewed by Lucifer's mouths.
