Warrior of the Light

With a flash of light and the clang of a blade, the glimmer of a woman's armor rushed past the dark figure. Her sword shone a bright golden as it sliced easily through the creature's ebony flaming body. It cried in pain, her glowing light causing its body to evaporate at its touch. Dark razor-like claws grasped at the air in front of her, barely grazing her breastplate. She had disappeared. Hearing the sound of flapping wings, the monster spun around as her sword came down upon it's head. She had flown above it and struck it down with enough speed to easily dart upwards out of its reach. She had sprouted enormous, white feathered wings unexpectedly in a matter of seconds. Shrieking deafeningly, the being dissipated at the touch of her glowing weapon and golden light poured out from its center. When nothing but ash remained of the beast, she sheathed her blade and folded her wings to her body. They faded away into a golden light, and dissolved almost as quickly as they had appeared. The paladin turned, hand gripping her sword that had begun glowing with its glimmering light and focused on the next angry shadow approaching.
