Who am I? My name is of little importance. I am simply the nightmare that strikes you in your sleep and the face you see upon your death. No need to fear, for I mean no harm. I simply want to have a little fun.

What am I? Now that is a better question. I am someone who enjoys twisting your dreams and watching your squirm in your sleep while I bring you nightmares of your death. I wander the countryside waiting for poor souls like yourself to fall asleep. My kind is known as Apenthys - a nightmare demon; and we have grown bored of just giving you nightmares.

We have become twisted over time, never being able to be satisfied by those simple nightmares. It took time, but we found a new form of entertainment... betting. The bets? Well, you see we bet on the manner of your death. We pick our favorites from those nightmares you have where you die. And when you do die, we see who wins.
