Biography
Gage (Ratchet) Tucker was born into a mechanic family, so to speak. Her mother died not long after she was born due to childbirth complications, and her father was highly engrossed in his work as Chief Mechanic at his shop, Tucker's Workshop. Being in the year 2105, the majority of the cities were located in the sky, on giant floating land masses powered by a mixture of fans and hovercraft technology. This helped the mechanic and technological industry boom, and they were the most desired jobs in the world. Mechanics and technicians were needed whenever the blades on the fans needed replaced, or when the in-ground hovercraft technology was on the fritz. People also brought in their various vehicles for repairs often.
At a very young age, Ratchet earned her nickname by consistently stealing her father's ratchet and playing with it around the shop. She also presented a particular talent for mechanics, and was often seen helping out in the shop instead of going outside to play with children her own age. For her 16th birthday, her father officially retired, leaving the shop to his daughter. She has been its sole manager ever since.
