Hi, I'm Regentag.

Sorry about the puddles, I usually try not to get the rain inside, but some water always klings to my fur. The rain itself never get's in though. It never rains indoors. Ever. Even my magic can't break that rule.

Tempest magic that is. I can control it to some degree, but only if I occasionally let it run free. So it's less controlling the powers than excersising them to where they become manageable. Does that make sense?

A lot of people don't seem to understand that. It's almost funny, really. I spent ages trying to find a job, always rejected at the doorstep because people and pets alike were afraid I might bring the rain in with me. It's almost always raining when I am outside. I'm okay with that; better have a light drizzle follow you around than build up a tempest, right. Let it out in controlled measures so it doesn't grow too strong.
It's hard to be sent away for it, but even so - I'd rather be sent away for making it rain all the time than for keeping it in and hurting people when it all bursts out.

And in the end, I found someone who understood. Pfoetchen is a really smart pet, and she has a good heart. The ironic part is that she is a scribble born from paper; she is now too powerfully magical to be erased by moisture, but many of her kind still fear the rain like they did when they were pen and paper.

And even more ironically, I now have a job at the Delphi Museum of Art.
Yes, the place with all the super-sensitive pieces of old and irreplaceable masterworks was the one place on Subeta to hire me despite the rain. Because even if I do summon the rain, I leave it outside.

They even joked that was my greatest benefit - if the weather isn't good enough to go to the beach instead, I can make it even worse so people come to us to stay dry. Not that I'd need to, really, the museum is worth a visit even in good weather. It doesn't need a tempest to make the people run for the shelter of our roofs, right?

And the beach is the perfect place to let go if I need to. There is nothing but sand, sky and ocean for miles and miles, all the beach stands and equipment are storm and waterproof, and no one ever comes to the beach when it rains.

Well, no one except Liebeslied.
But that is another story entirely, and maybe she will tell you about that if you ask nicely.
