the perfectly imperfect middle-man

Hal has horse-like features, his face and body consist of hollow bones. Face is completely skeletal, usually hidden by his overgrown hair. His legs end in talons. Strongly built and tends to hunch over or keep her head at a low level. Hollow eyes that lie on either side of her head, slitting backwards. Tiny ridges of bones run down his back. A single long horn growing backwards and two smaller curved horns on the sides of his head. Matted and overgrown hair, covered in grime. Mouth is slit beyond it’s normal length, leaving him with a permanent ghastly grin.

Hal walks solo. He is not fond of company and that does not bother him because he isn’t the best companion. Sly and elusive, he tends to speak in riddles and never keeps his word. A complete trickster, he makes her way through life luring some and backstabbing others. Inevitably, he has tons of enemies and he’s mostly on the run, never staying in one place or literally getting chased away. He is a scavenger and will not miss an opportunity to feed on the remains of whatever unfortunate soul comes by. The most common sound he makes is a heavy sigh. His voice is husky, punctuated by wheezes. Dead creatures are his playthings, hence it is not uncommon to see him tugging on a bit of spleen or nibbling on an eyeball. He is even known to pursue his prey, (scaring it, but never truly approaching) till it gets exhausted and then proceeds to enjoy it. Extremely intelligent, he is quite adept in analyzing feelings and can even hear heart beats at a distance. He speaks in several tongues and can pick up languages quickly.

Despite his grotesque features, people cannot help but feel sorry for this creature because he is completely harmless and does not hurt anything or anyone that’s alive. He takes advantage of this and lures people with her injured-animal appearance. He also tends to be charismatic.Hal is constantly used as a tool by demons to lure prey into their lair. And he’s given nothing but scraps that the demons do not want. Sometimes, he escapes his superiors but unable to manage hunting on his own, he goes back to another pack of demons, selling his services to them. He is able to easily locate demons with their scent.
