Peka-Boo walks through the gates of Peka Park, looking around her. Everything she saw is just perfect! The food trucks have some amazing smells, the clothing is looking so glamorous, the stage is all ready for the Battle of the Bands, and off in the near distance she sees a mysterious bush and what she thinks might be a goat surrounded by gates. "This was going to be one great party; I can't wait to take it all in," she thinks to herself.
Peka's first stop is the food trucks with all of those delicious smells drifting towards her. She just has to test out the goods, so she heads over to Veggikumora. Yet, while looking over the menu, Her gaze keeps going off to the pretty wearables located near by. "Maybe I should check those out first before I eat?" she muses, glancing down at her own garment, which seems so lack luster somehow. With that determination, Peka makes her way over to the merchants selling all of the pretties.
"Oh my!!", exclaims Peka. "The shoes, the dresses, the shirts, the accessories! I think one of everything is needed!" She digs out her credit card and gets one of everything. After all of that retail therapy, Peka sure worked up an appetite. She thinks she can eat one of everything off of all of the menus. But of course, that won't really happen. It's impossible to eat everything, isn't it?
Peka makes her way back to the food trucks and stops once again in front of Veggikumora. She picks the first thing she sees, not even sure what it is. As she makes her way through the food trucks- Wok This Way, Sweet Stuffed, Hipottu Spice, Let's Taco 'Bout it, and Meatosaurus- poor Peka is close to bursting.
While she tries to settle her stomach down, her gaze is again drawn to the shrub and to the enclosed goat. To burn off some of the food that she just consumed, Peka makes her way to towards these two. At the shrub, there is a sign that says "Make a Wish, Grant a Wish." Hmm.....this sounds interesting.
Once more Peka pulls out her credit card and grants someone's wish. But, she wonders, what ever should she wish for? After some thought, Peka wishes for something that has been on her wishlist forever. She fills out the ticket, puts it on the shrub, and closes her eyes tight, thus making her wish. It seems a little silly, but maybe someone will wander by and grant it.
Once she makes her wish, Peka wonders off to see about this goat. Another sign is posted on the gate that reads, "Let Goat of your worries." Well, isn't that interesting? As Peka stands back and observes, she notices others writing down their woes and sees that they feed it to a goat, who happens to go by the name of Oatmeal. Peka thinks this is one marvelous idea, so she steps up and gets into line to await her turn. As she is waiting she ponders what she should write. "The Mage has been stingy lately with those Tomes of his- or how about that darn Calvin Blackmoon making what seems like daily visits?" A few minutes later it is Peka's turn and she writes down her woe. After she feeds it to Oatmeal, she gives her a friendly pat on the head and thanks her.
It is then that Peka notices a huge tent off in the distance and wonders what that is all about. So she makes her way through the crowds. As she approaches she notices there are what look like guards at the entrance. "Hmm...must be something special in there for there to be guards," she ponders out loud. Peka approaches one of the guards and asks, "What is so special in there and how do I gain access?" The guard looks at her and then points towards a sign to the left of him. It reads, "To gain access you must have purchased a VIP bracelet from the Cash Shop."
Well good thing Peka had one of those bracelets! She just happened to pick it up before she made her way to the festival. It takes her a few moments of digging in her bag, but she finally finds the bracelet and slips it on. She shows her wrist to the guard and he lets her in. She is enthralled by what the VIP tent offers, such cute items perfect to commemorate the festival. Once again she pulls out her credit card and buys one of everything, plus extras for her close friends that were not able to get a VIP bracelet. These will make perfect gifts in the near future, thinks Peka.
Once she is done in the VIP tent, she hears what sounds like a bunch of bands tuning up their instruments. Battle of the Bands must be starting soon! Peka hurries along toward the stage, joining in the throng of the other Subeteans flooding the area in order to hear the bands, and cheer for their favorites. Peka hopes her favorite, The Thrill Seekers, are finalists. As Peka nears closer, she sees that yes indeed The Thrill Seekers are finalists! "Woohoo!!!" Peka is super excited. This battle is going to be epic!
Peka spends the next few hours listening to the amazing music from all of the finalist, singing along with her old favorites, dancing along to new favorites. The excitement of the crowd is infectious! Too soon it is all over, and the winners are announced. Poor Peka is a bit disappointed that The Thrill Seekers didn't win, but boy, it sure was a great concert! As the festival wraps up, she heads home happy and content with the mementos and memories of this truly wonderful day.
