Have you ever heard of anyone that absolutely loved bugs? All kinds of bugs, different sizes, colors or shapes. Not to eat them mind you; but to play with or just watch and enjoy. Ladybugs, butterflies, bees, beetles, spiders, grasshoppers, caterpillars, you name it if its a bug than Mr. Biggles loves it. Bugs are after all very important in nature and in life.

Mr. Biggles was first intrigued when he was just a pup. When he was very young he read in his favorite book " The Bug Book"; and learned about how each bug has a different diet and life cycle. Their egg hatching is specifically timed to when the special food the babies need to eat is available in it's season. He learned that their life cycles are set so that members of each species can survive the winter. They survive as either eggs, larvae, or adults. Large numbers of adult bugs hibernate and some will migrate before the cold season arrives. Nature has provided many strange and wonderful ways for each species of bugs to survive.

Many people think that all insects or bugs are harmful. This is far from the truth. As Mr Biggles can tell you, most insects are harmless and even useful. A few useful insects would be a honey bee, earthworm, or a lady bug as well as many more varieties of bugs. Even a spider is useful. These useful bugs greatly help and benefit in nature and life. A few harmful bugs would be locust, scale or aphids. Whose damage can be ravaging, and unrepairable.

Some bugs are just plain beautiful in Mr. Biggle's opinion. Take a look at a butterfly in flight. Have you ever seen such a beautiful thing? Or how about a dragonfly, who is probably the most harmless bug you will ever meet. All bugs fill Mr. Biggles with wonder, even a spider making its web. Have you ever watched how hard the ants work? Each and every one is so wonderful. He loves them all.

Dancing Dragonflies
I watched them across the water prance, back and forth in sprightly dance.
Liveried in emerald green, others had a sapphire sheen.
It was natural choreography, by tiny acrobats.
As they hovered through the reed beds, hunting bugs and gnats.
A mastery of flight, a ballet in the sky.
How mesmerizing to sit and watch, dancing dragonflies.
