Long, long ago, Kahoupokane was the goddess of the entire mountain of Hualalai. At her home, she worked tirelessly to produce only the finest kapa for her sisters to wear. All makers of cloth owed her fealty, their creations an extension of the goddess herself.

Today she finds herself in strange times, surrounded by mortals and missing her island home. This is her life now, and she is determined to make the best of it. Kahoupokane still has some tricks up her sleeve, with which she continues to make cloth that seduces and astonishes. On especially creative nights, there is always a rainstorm, with clashes of booming thunder in the distance, and more than a few cracks of lightning centered around her neighborhood.

Do not make the mistake of trifling with this woman. She may seem slight and almost insignificant, but whatever she wants she gets - at any cost. The moment she decides, the contest is already won: Kahoupokane makes it so.
