This was his personal workshop. It really was a house of horrors. There were bolts and screws and tools all over the place. Where was that stupid piece? He needed a specific wire to complete his final project: a tiger. He was making a tiger."God! Help me! I just need ONE piece! ONE stupid piece! Just give me THAT!" He was not a religious person, but he cursed to the heavens every so often when he was frustrated or angry. Upset at times, too. He was just looking for this one piece. It looked like a thin snake. It was thicker than the normal wire, about 2 inches, maybe, but it was very long. He thought it resembled the small intestine, though he never studied the human body, so he wouldn't have known. He had 20 or 25 different piles of assorted nuts and bolts, screws and nails, and tools, with the occasional wire. He assumed that the wire had to be in one of those. He sorted through every single pile. Nothing. He went to every hardware store around. Nothing. He looked in every drawer, every cabinet, around every corner and behind every door in his house. Nothing. It was nowhere. He knew he had it, too. He knew it was there. He bought it at the junkyard. That's it! The junkyard! Maybe he left it there! He headed over to the junkyard, miles away from his home. After a 2 hour drive, he finally reached his destination. He sorted through the endless rust. Nothing. He looked inside, by the cash register and on the floor behind the counter. Nothing. He cursed for what seemed to be a year, and then left.He went back to his makeshift workshop in his garage. He saw something shimmer under one of his tiny plastic drawers. Could that be it? He looked. That wasn't it.He called all of his friends and family, asking if they had seen it somewhere. All of them had said that they didn't bother with his tools, or didn't see it. "Ow!" He felt a sharp pain in his chest. Was he having a heart attack? No. It couldn't be. But he was. His wife heard something downstairs and rushed down to see what was happening. She shrieked and dialed 911 immediately.* * * *In the hospital, he was now conscious. The doctors approached him. "Yes, sir, it was a heart attack." They tried to make a joke out of a serious matter. "We also found this in your pocket," The doctors held up a bright green wire, exactly the size of the one that he was looking for. "That's it! That's the one!" He was ecstatic. As soon as he got out, he knew exactly what to do. He could finally finish his project.
