When first discovering the Ruffie, this common Ruffie was not a lucky one. Snatched from his group, he was taken away and into a lab, where he was then experimented on. Only wanting to see how a Subetapet's mind works, the scientists had a little too loose of a grip on him, and he soon collided with machinery and cords connected to the television they were working on. Thought dead due to the extreme damage the chase had made, he was dug up from the rubble with caution, and taken into the spare room in the building. A few days later, however, he awoke, and they took him back, taking advantage of his creative mind and showing those who wish to see what he thinks up, come to reality.
Some say it's impossible for a Ruffie, as tiny they come, to have a mind so expanded, it can see and think how humans do; well, they must be rolling in shame, because it's possible. Whatever the Ruffie sees, he makes a creative show with it.
Television has many ideas. Thoughts, passions and stories. Usually he divides his stories or thoughts into an episode, or sometimes into a season. If he's got a show he wants to show you that is one about supernatural demons or a consulting detective, he will show you what he wants to show. Cliffhangers are his favourite part; it keeps his viewers and listeners wanting more, wanting to learn more and see more of what television has to offer. Television likes to show off movies, too. Documentaries; something that draws those that likes puzzles or learning, he will throw those into the mix to show those what he knows, and what he can teach them.
Not everything you see from Television is not his idea, of course. Those who wish to put something on TV, it will go up, but it costs (News, sports, etc). Because he's a pet who has this incredible mind, he has to be brought in every three days a week, and hooked up. Shifting his thoughts and ideas into a computer; which then allows the humans to schedule a time for his 'program' to show.
Although it's tiring and slowly killing the poor Ruffie, he doesn't stop. And he doesn't want to stop, because he enjoys the attention and admiring fans that adore his ability.
