Ailuria comes from the land of Faery, a magical place full of strange and wonderful creatures of all shapes and sizes. She was once a Queen of great importance, regarded with great respect, but as the years passed by her reign over her kingdom fell to ruin and she was forgotten. She wandered through the lands looking for anyone who might remember her but all she passed by had forgotten her face and even her name.She fell into a great sadness that lasted for many millenia and after a while she began to fade. Her colors faded to that of shades of grey; peppery colors, colors that remind you of a cloudy day. When she was all but lost a small creature happened upon her and upon seeing her the creature began to smile. She thought for sure she was imagining the creature, a small fox-like creature that was so brilliantly colored she thought she might go blind. She blinked and he blinked back immediately pouncing on her and licking her face, with each lick her color came back as the color from the creature began to fade. One final lick and all her color had returned to her. She felt new with life, like a phoenix rising from the ashes in a flash of brilliant color. The small creature smiled at her and then began to walk away.Ailuria called out to him. "How did you see me... how did you return my color... I have so many questions," Ailuria asked with tears streaming down her face.The creature turned to her and whispered in a haunting voice, "I am that which keeps us all alive, I am the breath of life within all living things. I am creativity, I am birth, I am all things."Then a gust of wind blew by gently and the creature that saved Ailuria's life disappeared into a cloud of peppery dust. She cried tears of joy and tears of sadness. She wondered just who that creature was. She smiled. She saw the world for the first time with new eyes. She had been given a second chance.
