Tiny and baby-faced for her age, and quite timid, Miyuri often reminds people of some sort of cute little animal. She has a terrible stutter and is prone to panic attacks, but she tries to handle things the best she can. It's hard, though...

She moonlights as a magical girl, fighting evil creatures known as Witches. Becoming a magical girl in exchange for having a wish granted seemed worth it at first, but unfortunately, gaining new powers did nothing for her anxiety. When she gets too frightened in battle, she blacks out-- or rather, slips into a dissociative state where she lays waste to everything around her until she's safe again. Her capacity for violence is incredible for someone so small, though she hardly remembers any of this when she comes back to her senses.

Her best friend San is a magical girl as well, so the two of them always do their Witch-hunting together. When Miyuri's anxiety reaches its boiling point, she relinquishes control to San, whose voice is the only thing that gets through to Miyuri when she loses consciousness. It's an unconventional way to fight, but it prevents Miyuri from accidentally hurting herself or her allies, and her strength makes for a lethal weapon under San's tactical eye.

When she's not busy with school or Witches, Miyuri's hobbies include rollerblading and volunteering at the Hikarizuka Youth Association in her city's community center. She especially loves to help organize festivals and events-- while she rarely gets up on stage herself, she's happy to lend a hand to make sure that other people's performances go as well as possible! (And San looks so cool playing the taiko drum...)
