Balmung

Originally born into the land of Vyrhallah, in the militant kingdom of Lafina, Balmung and his brother Durandal were talented young swordsmen in the country's army. As the soldiers approached a legendary status among the people, their skill unrivaled, the king of Lafina grew jealous; and concerned for his position on the throne. He appealed to the trickster god, Bastado, to take these men and do away with them. And thus the god did; he ripped their souls from their mortal bodies and cast them back into the void.

Reborn into the world as we know it as the older of the two brothers, Balmung has had to be responsible since the day their parents died and he became responsible for his little brother's well being. He grew into the kind of man that plays his emotions close to his chest, covering however he may actually feel with a veil of easy going carelessness, though that is often far from the truth, even if, deep down, he does feel some resentment of Durandal (that he is very guilty over) and a certain degree of selfishness. In spite of that, however, and the fact that Bal has moved far from his childhood home and his brother's ranch, the pair are still close to a fault, even if they give each other crap every minute they have the chance. He owns a small stable of his own; for his one solitary horse that he rides as a champion show jumper in cross country and arena events.

Though Bal seems quite friendly and upbeat on the surface, there is a layer of mystery to him; he's holding something back. That something would be dreams; dreams of a land of knights and kingdoms at war, in which he is a respected and feared swordsman, riding under an army's banner.

Blond hair just long enough to pull back, clean shaven - unlike his scruffy brother - with brown eyes. He wears a torq-like silver armband over his bicep.
