The first born to a cursed land who saw no births for 20 years, Susie was born in the mostly modern society of Moonfront. Her parents were the first generation of a previously tribal people in a modern society, and with the addition of people not originally from the tribe in their new city, she was given a modern name to match. She is considered a half-fur--a person born with human and animal characteristics, even if the ratios to those are not necessarily half--and her animal is the doe. She would eventually go on to leave Moonfront, but not before returning to her tribe of Moonreach to receive her tribal name before embarking on a journey to the capital city of the continent: the Sharmony Kingdom.

During her time in Moonfront, she was interested in the calmer groves that could be found nestled deep within Glen Oak forest. The noise of the city didn't necessarily frighten her, but she found that the bustling activity made it difficult to think. Especially when it came to composing music and playing melodies off her cuff. From a young age, she had been passionate about playing string instruments, her absolute favorite being the lyre. Her father was a devout woodworker and with a little help on her part, he made her a rough lyre. She practiced on this until her father felt that she was both talented and committed enough to build her a gorgeous lyre, even spending the time to painstakingly engrave her nickname into it.

Little Susie.

Once she felt comfortable enough with the lyre, she moved to harps. She adored harps almost as much, but the lyre she could take anywhere with her, which was absolutely necessary for her lifestyle. Susie always had a strong wanderlust that could never be fully satiated. When she attended school, she would push her luck during recess to explore the deepest nooks and crannies of the playground. Upon returning home, she would finish her homework and immediately run outside, gone for hours at the time. There was even a time where the nearby eagle family had to scout her out well past dinner time, only to find her peacefully sleeping in a mossy den closer to their original home of Moonreach.

Her mother would worry, so her father took it upon himself to teach her survival skills, should she ever need them. He helped her craft her own dagger, taught her how to fashion a makeshift bow and arrows, as well as a hammer, fire, and spear. Soon, she started going out and exploring not merely on a whim, but with supplies and knowledge under her belt. On her person would be her dagger, lyre, water, extra string for her instrument and a book of plants. In the colder months she would bring a cape to keep her warm. Though it was a hassle sometimes to gather up everything before she left, she found that having supplies made her feel more comfortable in the long run.

Over time, she gathered knowledge on wildlife, edible and non-edible plants, as well as how to select a place to stay in overnight and how to scare off predators. Her parents no longer feared when she went outside and explored, now knowing she could handle herself. Often times she would come back home with an animal for her father to use in cooking, skinning for clothing, or crafting. Practices that were common among their tribal brethren and city-dwellers. It was part of the charm of Moonfront as a modern society: the natives being ingrained with their traditions and welcoming foreigners with open arms into them.

On her 18th birthday, Susie and her parents traveled back to Moonreach, where the tribe elder welcomed their miracle with open arms. They had a giant feast for the first child since Moonreach's water supply had been cursed, and the first born in their new society of Moonfront. She played for the crowds that gathered and the other elders praised her musical ability. After everybody gorged themselves on the smorgasbord, it was time for the main event: awarding Susie her tribe name. A true reminder of her roots. The home that would always welcome her, and the forest that held the nature she so adored.
