Once a Jollin test subject for a scientist that has long since passed away, 'X' as he now prefers to be called, was rescued from the scientist's lab when it was raided by Subeta's police force.
Although by then the experiments had long since taken their toll on his body and rendered him virtually immobile, his mind was still intact enough that he was able to be taken to a specialist hospital which made a copy of his 'soul', allowing the Jollin's consciousness to be transferred into a freshly built Cadogre and effectively giving him another chance at life.

Once it had been established that procedure had worked properly and he was mentally and physically stable enough to leave the hospital, X was given his first ever choice, to strike out on his own or be put up for adoption. Not wanting to run the risk of ending up in a situation similar to the last one, the Cadogre chose the latter and after a few months of meeting various people, finally found an acceptable home with Finch and their other companions.

He refuses to reveal much of his past and prefers to live in the present, choosing to focus on the new life he has with his companions, instead of what used to be.
