Sherry has a minion!

Boggi the Goggi

Sherry was blind. She hadn’t been blind when she was born, or even until the past year. But ever so slowly, her vision had first blurred and then faded until she could no longer see anything at all.

And then, something remarkable happened.

One night, she had been woken up to a feeling of intense pressure in her tail feathers, as if something were pushing it’s way out. It had gone away more quickly than it had came, and she’d dozed off again. The next morning, having forgotten the events of the night before, she went to join her family for breakfast. As she entered the room they all began to exclaim in surprise. It seemed as if overnight her tail had grown real, moving eyes in its feathers.

She didn't understand. She still couldn't see anything. Until later that day, when she was sitting alone in her room. She idly swung a tail feather in front of her face. As the eye on the feather passed her own, she momentarily saw the typewriter that was sitting on a desk across from her. She was in shock. Not only had she seen, but there was someone typing on it. But she didn't hear the clacking of keys.

She felt his way over to the desk. No one was there. She held the feather to her eye again. Right beside her, someone appeared, typing away. She tried to touch them but her arm passed right through. It was eerie.

She left her room, feather in front of her face. She couldn't see everything, it seemed, just old things. And they all seemed to have people hovering around them, but no one she could touch or speak to. They took no notice of her.

She was seeing imprints of the past in those objects. It had taken a long time to figure that out, and it was still unbelievable. But, any object she looked at through her new eyes showed her it’s past, sometimes good, sometimes bad. It wasn't the same as when she could see, of course, but as an alternative it wasn't so bad.
