Hellkat is definitely one of a kind. She always had a firey spirit, then one day she got to close to the fireplace. She is a little hellion after all. She would jump up on the mantel piece and knock off vases and such. Crashing down below she would mew with excitement. It was never hard to tell where she was either in the house or outside of it leaving a mess in her wake.
I would let her out of the house because she always clawed at the door frame, leaving large gashes. Once however she got up on top of the roof. She mewed for a while and I got a ladder to get her off the roof. When I got up there however she jumped down the chimney stack. To my horror, I rushed, carefully down the ladder and back into the house. A fire had been going.
That’s when Hellkat really got her name, because she mewed happily playing with the coals a new color and little bits of flame lapping around her fur. I don’t know how it happened but there she was fine and dandy, maybe it was because of what a hell raiser she was.
