When I was in first grade they were teaching kids how to spell by having them sound out the words. It worked great but I was a thumb-sucker who talked around her thumb. And one day, as part of our homework, I wrote a page long story in my class journal about a little girl who befriended an unckuon with a huon. It was magical.
