Josta is our little fluffy black cat with a thumb on each paw. She was named after an energy drink from the 90s that had a panther logo. She's tiny, quirky, and playful. Josta and her littermates were discovered in a dumpster and taken to a local animal rescue group. My sister, with whom my SO and I were living at the time, agreed to foster two of the kittens. They were so young that their eyes weren't even opened yet and they had to be bottle-fed. Josta, the runt of the litter, was always very active, even when she was so small. She was also very particular about how you held her bottle. We fell in love with this unique gal as we fostered, and later adopted her.

She enjoys racing up and down the stairs with us, sniffing our food that we take from the fridge before offering her approval and running off, and prefers company while she eats her food. She likes a challenge when she plays, so she can often be found under the table, paws wrapped around the leg, as she bats around a toy. Josta was raised with my dog Lyritt, who is only a couple months younger than Josta. Josta lays between the 70-pound dogs front paws and rolls around, cuddling with Lyritt, who pretends she's indifferent, but cuddles back when she thinks we're not looking.
