Peter closed his eyes and took his very last breath. He began falling down the chasm, it seemed like forever. He didn't remember reaching the bottom, but as his eyes squinted in the dimly lit cavern. He saw a figure approaching him. It was a hideous figure, with a dark mist surrounding it. "Who are you?" Peter stammered. "You know who I am" came the reply.

Peter heard the low, moaning wails of people from across the cavern, sounding like despairing, tortured souls. The fear almost paralysed him. "NO!" he said, "this cannot be. I have been a good person all my life, I don't belong here. Good people don't come here. You are not real, there is no such place as hell. There has been a mistake...."

The figure moved close to Peter's face, and sneered "It is YOU that are mistaken. This is where you belong, for eternity. It matters not how you lived.
There is no such place as heaven".

The wails of the dead inside the chasm grew louder and more intense, and Peter's own cries of despair were soon swallowed up by the wretched throng.
