Have you seen Maurice? They say there was a fire in the mansion's garden lasting for three days and since then Maurice has vanished. The dolls are gone, too. All of them. The butcher's wife claims that she saw him a couple of hours before the fire started, on his way home from the hospital he was working at. A doctor.

The petrol attendant couldn't care less, he says everything's alright as long as the pig is dead. Maurice was sick, an outcast and recluse only caring for his scary dolls. And then his movements! All stiff and awkward as if he was made of wood himself. Like...yes, like a living doll. Others agree and when the mayor tries to calm them down another voice raises, the hysterical voice of Linda Evans:

"He took Oliver! A mother knows it, feels it. I'm telling you again, it was him! This monster took my baby!"
