I've been compiled a list of all the "gossips" that the 5 NPC characters give when dancing with them. I'm not an html genius, but I've just made a very simple page with all of the good stuff. :)

Each NPC says a set of different "gossips" that it will give when dancing with them, and it is not clear how many there are total. I was able to collect a total of 15 of them from "normal" invitations. I'm still in the process of collecting ones from the hastily written ones.

Something drastic had to happen before we started to see the hastily written invitations, as I suspected.


And indeed, something drastic does seem to have happened...

Vernon was murdered! By whom? The clues from the "witnesses" are included in the hastily written invitations.

All of the "gossips" from both the normal and hastily written invitations that have been seen so far are listed below.

"Normal" Invitations

Invitations from Cassandra:
Cassandra: “I am really surprised that Mister Yun finally accepted the invitations from the Ziaran Council. I wonder what changed after all these years-- besides his marriage and relationship with his son.”

Cassandra: “The color this year is definitely mauve. All these ladies wearing red and burgundy obviously did not get the memo.”

Cassandra: “Oh, don't mind the "New Money." They love repeating everything they hear. My friends say it was Isaac who rejected Mister Martenez's niece. I've heard nothing about Adriette and Mister Yun.”

Cassandra: “Oh, no, no, no, honey. Have you been to a Masquerade before? You must wear comfortable shoes for dancing!”

Invitations from Abigail:
Abigail: “This is my first Masquerade. I'm a bit ashamed to admit how much of my parents' money I spent to get here, but oh! How elegant everyone looks. Well, except for Miss Ventura, but from what I'm told, this is elegant for her!”

Abigail: "Have you seen the other young people here? Adriette looks so beautiful. I wonder why Mister Yun rejected her!"

Abigail: “I'm so happy to be here with all of Atebus' elite. My mother always told me I was destined for great things. Next step? Secure a wealthy aristocratic man. I wonder if Mister Yun prefers blondes. ”

Georgiana: “Oh, I can hardly breathe in this dress. The price you pay for beauty and fashion! Perhaps I had one too many Ikumoradeekanox tarts, but they really were so tasty!”

Georgiana: “Mauve? What old bat told you that? This years colors are definitely deep red and off white. Nothing says luxury like the colors of wine and cream.”

Anthony: “I quite worry about Adriette. It's clear to me that her father never loved her, so she's seeking attention from every male she comes across.”

Anthony: “Have you tried the Bloody Marians at the Libertine Lounge yet? Positively top notch. I really should slow down on my consumption. My wife says I am overly chatty when inebriated.”

Boudewijn: “All this pomp and circumstance over a man who never wanted to come here before. Now we're good enough for him? Pfft.”

Boudewijn: “This whole ball is just a conspiracy to get the rich to spend more of their money. Do you realize how much we all spent to even attend this event? And then they want us to buy our own food and drink?”

Boudewijn: “Thank you for dancing with me. Mother said she was tired of dancing with me and I needed to go out and meet a real-- Hey, where are you going?!”

Boudewijn: “BAOWH-deh-wein. Why does everyone find this so hard to pronounce? It's not like I haven't been here before.”

Hastily Written Invitation from Abigail:
Abigail: "To be honest, I'm not sure whether I'm more frightened that we might still be in danger or unhappy that now the entire Masquerade is ruined. No one is going to want to dance and celebrate now."

Abigail: “I think I feel worst for poor Jules. He comes here with the intention of repairing his relationship with his father, only to find out that his father adopted another son, and after getting upset about that and storming off, now he has to deal with his father being murdered before he ever got to cool off and make amends. That has to be a terrible situation. I wonder if he and Isaac can ever have a brotherly relationship at all, now.”

Abigail: “Marcel seems like a jovial enough fellow, but I wonder how he was doing financially. That was a nice mask, but from what I'd heard, he didn't seem as lavishly dressed as he had in years' past.”

Abigail: "I guess we'll never know what Mister Yun's great surprise for us was. A grand discovery? A new business venture? An invention that would change Atebus forever?"

Abigail: "I can't believe it. My first Masquerade and something like this happens. I can't say this is at all what I had imagined. I hope it ends with poor Mister Yun and no one else gets hurt."

Hastily Written Invitation from Anthony:
Anthony: “Come to think of it-- *hic!* Oh, my! Pardon me!-- I did shee Jules storm off in shome direction earlier tonight. I can't recall if it was toward that antechamber or not, but he looked plenty upshet.”

Anthony: "Ishaac had blood on his handsh, sure, but I dunno why he'd kill him. He wash classhically codependent. Extremely loyal. He was probably trying to resushi-- *hic!*-- resucrapa-- *hic!*-- revive him."

Anthony: “The old guy ish dead, huh? I shay he had it coming. Those controlling typesh sheldom make and keep friends for long. Shurprised Marcel hung around ash long ash he did. Maybe he had enough.”

Anthony: “Woo-oooo! I think while the lightsh were out the bartenders couldn't tell just how shtrong they were making these drinksh. *hic!* My last few Bloody Marians were superb! What a fun Masquerade!”

Anthony: "I don't know why people keep inshishting that Adriette offed Vernon. Not only doesh she not have the strength, but it alsho makes no shense. Why kill him before she won him over and-- *hic!*-- married him for the money?"

Hastily Written Invitation from Boudewijn:
Boudewijn: “I sort of like that Marcel guy. He's spent his evening a bit like I have: sitting back and watching people. Neither of us have done much dancing. Hey, if I can be that successful in ten years' time, I'll gladly be a wallflower now.”

Boudewijn: "Well, you know, since no one danced with me except my mother unless I sent them an invitation, I had plenty of time to look around this evening. A lot of shady business going on, if you ask me."

Boudewijn: “I've been thinking. Mister Yun hasn't accepted an invitation from the Ziaran Council in years, but this year he comes, and I assume it's because he had something he wanted to show off, right? Instead, he winds up dead. Maybe that was his intention: a dramatic exit from life. Maybe this was suicide. He never did look happy since his wife left him, and especially less so since she died.”

Boudewijn: “Isn't it interesting how Inspector Thorpe was on the scene so quickly? Was he here the whole time dancing?”

Boudewijn: "I think I lost count of how many drinks Anthony has had. His wife is going to be so embarrassed with the way he's been running his mouth. I'm not sure how much stock I'd put in anything he's said tonight."

Hastily Written Invitation from Cassandra:
Cassandra: "It brings up an interesting question: Who inherits the Yun legacy? I know Marcel was his business partner, but it could just as easily go to Jules or Isaac. Oh, dear. What a messy situation."

Cassandra: "My sister's hairdresser's husband does Jules taxes and let it slip that Jules was getting close to broke from all of the money he spends on his frivolous research."

Cassandra: “I did overhear Garret telling Jules that he would always be there for him and would do anything. All Jules needed to do was ask. I recall Jules being quite upset at the time. What if that request was murder?”

Cassandra: “Frankly, with all the talented, very well paid engineers on the Grand Ballroom staff, including Victoria Ventura, I find it suspicious that we were left in the dark long enough for Vernon to be killed and no one notice. Was she really downstairs fixing a problem before the opening ceremonies? Or was she causing it?”

Cassandra: “I know everyone is taking pity on "Poor Isaac" right now, but money does strange things to people. I can't say I pity him. How poor was he before he was adopted by Vernon? I suspect he grew to like the lavish lifestyle and wanted more of it.”

Hastily Written Invitation from Georgiana:
Georgiana: “Did you see that fabulously unique mask Marcel had on tonight? It's a pity he didn't dance very much after the evening got started. I would have loved to have danced with him to discuss where he got it. Unfortunately he was retiring to an antechamber to rest his feet as I was going to ask. Such a shame.”

Georgiana: I got a dance with Garret! Can you believe it? Oh, he was positively spectacular, and so strong! I bet he could have lifted me up above his head with one hand!"

Georgiana: “I really don't know how someone dressed as Victoria was managed to get a dance with someone as respectable as Isaac. Maybe that's why Vernon didn't like them dancing together; she was too shabby-looking by comparison. She seems like the type who wouldn't like hearing that either. Didn't she say one day Vernon would regret it? Yeah, classy. ”

Georgiana: "I wish I could have made more of a connection with Garret when we danced. He seemed so distracted worrying about Jules and what he could do to cheer him up after his argument with his father, Vernon. It must be nice to have friends like who care that much. He seemed like he'd have done anything for him."

Georgiana: "It's so hard to believe that the guest of honor is now dead. I wonder if the Ziaran Council will think twice before they invite another 'honored' guest again."
