Bondage suffers from an eye condition which only allows him to see very faint, muted colors. He becomes blinded by bright hues and light, so he keeps mainly to himself- always shielded from the world.

He often wishes to be cured of his ailment and to socialize with his other companions, but never lets it be known, since he appears to enjoy being a hermit. His most reliable friend is his mukotl Pepo - a creature who suffers from complete blindness.

Together they dwell in a cave underground and seldom venture out- save for retrieving food in the late night.

The dragon is also very fond of collecting items which have interesting textures and feels; his favorites including worn leather, raffia, perforated stone, and smooth metals. He is also very wise and knowledgeable, using his well developed hearing to pick up all sorts of information from everywhere. Sometimes, Under the Mahar will come read to him and together they will spend hours exchanging knowledge.

The near-blind dragon is forever bound by the darkness in which he dwells, thus the name Bondage was given to him.
