I cannot remember where or when I began, but I'm fairly sure it was in the dark between galaxies, where stars and life are very unlikely. I like to roam the stars, merging with them on occasion to feel the fire and gather energy to travel. It's amazing how invigorating a neutron star can be! As a result I can be a bit solitary, as it can be years between seeing any sentient life forms. I couldn't even imagine how long I have been exploring the universe. I've seen planets form, stars supernova, and countless life forms emerge from unlikely starting places. Some of these places I even visit every so often to catch up on how they are progressing. What the life forms are doing. Sadly some do not last. Either natural disaster or sometimes of their own making, numerous sentient species no longer exist.

One of these places I visit that is thriving is a little planet called Subeta. It has a moon, and several areas seem to have developed themes, which is a bit different to many planets that tend to mix more. Like most planets with sentients, there is holidays and celebrations at specific parts of the year for either the season, or to commemorate an occasion. Unlike many planets I've studied, there are a lot of sentients on Subeta. People and those called "pets" who are adopted by the people to form families. Reproduction is shrouded in mystery although something called the "zapper" is known to change forms. Life span is also currently unknown. Most people seem capable of extremely long life spans unless they are "frozen", apparently, so I would not recommend visiting the Arctic except for during the appropriate holiday.

The "pets" in Subeta come in a huge variety of shapes and sizes. From small Lain and Illumis, to the Rreign and enormous Tutani, there is a variety of sizes, temperaments and environments they come from. Each has their own personality, and the people usually seem to dote on them, no matter how small or large their family is. They get fed, can go to a spa or hotel, battle each other, although they don't die and can be healed fully after each round, play games with their humans, get 'zapped', go shopping, It really does seem like one of the most successful planets I have seen.

Anyway, time to wander again as I hear that there is a star in the Carina Nebula that is showing some amazing signs of life!
