Friendship is something everyone craves naturally. People or animals, we all need someone to talk to and share the trivials of the day both good and bad. Friends are there for you when you aren't sure if your life holds meaning any longer. They are in essence, your bond to life

But sometimes things happen that get in the way of a friendship and the friendship crumbles. What does one do then? A piece of that person if forever damaged, no amount of therapy can change the fact. Forever will they question themselves in the silence of their minds asking the same question in an endless loop: What did I do wrong.

They don't realize however that it takes two to erase a friendship and the blame cannot be put on just them. Self-doubt is a powerful emotion and it rules out any other, insisting that the fault is their's alone to hold. To some, it makes them stronger as they realize the mistakes they have made and can heed them off in the future. But to others it destroys them and chases them into a hollow of depression and self loathing.

Indrys is one whom heartbreak shatters and destroys. No one really knows what happened to cause the fight that tore apart Indrys's friendship or what the fight was even about; it was just one of those things that happen and can't seem to be stopped. Indrys was one of those whose opinion of self worth was always low but after the break she withdrew inwardly. If no one else could value her for who she was, what use was there in believing in your own self?

Time passed slowly for it seemed and Indrys finally started to emerge from her depressed state, once more seeking a place in the world. If the one whom she trusted couldn't believe, then maybe there was someone else who would. But that resolve didn't stop the deep reaches of her mind seeking the answer to the destined question: Why. Why did the friendship fail? What was her role in it? What if.
