story idea
The Earth struggled for many years against the human plague. At times it seemed as if Earth stood a chance, but in the end, the human population managed to destroy the only place it could call home. Those who had wealth and great power sought out a "new" way to live once it became clear that Earth would no longer be sustainable. The rich destroyed all the old ways of life, such as governments and political boundaries, in order to take over land that was still useful. By the time those who were too poor to invest in anything realized what had happened, it was too late.
The rich built indestructible bunkers underground and massive walls lined with traps and heavy machinery rose up into the sky. The rich took in people with certain talents or abilities, such as professional snipers who didn't have the wealth to invest themselves, in order to protect them. They swore to protect the rich with their lives in exchange for living in the safety of the walls.
The poor suffered greatly while civilization descended into anarchy quickly. Corpses lined the street, murdered by their neighbor just so they could take a half filled water bottle and an expired can of corn. Sometimes, groups surviving together would turn on each other and have to result to cannibalism in order to live for another day. Other groups banded together to try to over throw the rich and live. They weren't going out of their way to murder like others, but would do what they had to in order to stay alive. One of the best ways for the poor to get supplies from the rich was to send in talented people who could slip in and out without being killed. These people were highly valued in the poor society, but not all of them had the best intentions.
One of the best, if not the best, at slipping over the walls and bringing back supplies that saved so many lives was Chaos. He was highly revered and respected, but his dark side was much more sinister then his actions.
