"Cygnet, honey. Come upstairs, it's time for dinner."

"Aww mum, just a little bit longer? Just a few more demi-pliés?"

This is how the conversation goes every evening at Cygnet's home. Cygnet wants to keep practicing her ballet steps and her mother wants her to come and have dinner, do her homework or something not related to ballet for just a few minutes at least.


Cygnet is destined to be a prima ballerina. Named after a young swan, the role of Odette in Swan Lake is surely in her future. Cygnet started taking ballet lessons at the tender age of 3 and hasn't looked back since.

Cygnet dances everyday, practicing her pliés, port de bras and pas de chat so she'll be perfect when she's finally old enough to audition for a position in Swan Lake's Dance of the Cygnets. First though, she'll have to keep practicing and growing so that she'll be old enough to go en pointe!

Now one would think that Swan Lake would be Cygnet's favourite ballet. It isn't, it comes in at a very close second. Her favourite ballet is another Tchaikovsky masterpiece, The Nutcracker! Her dream is to perform the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy with a company like Bolshoi or New York City Ballet.


Cygnet, a young Angelic Kerubi is almost pure white. She has ice blue spots on her back and legs and three under each eye. Also, the tips of her paws, ears and around her eyes are ice blue. She has soft aqua coloured eyes and baby pink paw pads, nose and inside ears. She wears a long violet coloured ribbon scarf and rose headband. Because Cygnet is too young to dance en pointe, she wears violet coloured ballet ribbons around her paws until she is old enough to wear pointe shoes.
