Once a student of a powerful mage, Zavious broke into his lair and stole the mage's Book of Dreams. Not being that powerful and his ineptnes to work the right hand gestures, he turned himself into a Nuclear Hikei.That transformation cost him alot of his energy. So he continued to rest up and read the Book of Dreams. Learning how he could fix the situation he was in.
The time came where he could do the simplest of spells. Lighting a candle, creating fresh fruit, also making plants grow twice their normal speed.
He got everything that he needed. Started the spell. What he didn't know was that the mage found out and caused the incantation to go wrong causing his body to die, then freeze.
After a yeah and a half, Zavious began to hear voices all around him. Ghostly's from the fourth dimension called out his name. Or was it them? He couldn't tell.
A shadow was always lurking in the window of his tower. Always present, never moving. Until one night, while the moon was a cresent, the shadow moved...
Tis' time! tis' time! the Harpier screeched. We've waited long enough. TIS' TIME!
Zavious began to scream. All his hopes, dreams, the memories of his loved ones, his whole life as a human slipped away as his mind was swallowed up by a darkness he never knew.
It's no use fighting it. it cackled an ungodly cackle. Evil emitted all about it.You have been chosen to serve young wizard.
The Harpier flapped to the window again. "ELIS-Heht!!" Bars grew over the windows and doors to the tower. For your safety young wizard. I wouldn't want my pray ---I mean catch to get hurt.' With one flap, the bird vanished.
