As far as adventure goes: It's exactly what my life is made up of.

Counting only 2 years, meaning I was just a little pup, I started my first long journey.My grandmother had gotten ill and I wanted to visit her. Though she did not live far fromour little house there was a strong river parting the way. The day I chose was sunny and warm. My mother gave me some remedies I was to bring my Omi and some food and water.

My parents had no clue they wouldn't see me for many days...

Wearing my favourite shoes and hood I happily started on my way waving good-bye to my family.Around the path the flowers shone in the brightest colours and I found tasty berries, whichdistracted me for longer than I thought. As I reached the majestic river the sun already setbehind the great mountains of Veta. Suddenly I found myself unsure of whether I should turn around and walk back home or continue on my way. When I thought of my parents I was sure they would be mad at me if they heard how I lost track of time because of berries and flowers!So the choice was made: Crossing the river and hopefully reaching my Omi'S house before midnight.
I continued following the stream to the place where the bridge allowed me to get to the other side. The starlight reflected in the water lightening my way and brightening my feelings.The darkness couldn't scare me while there were stars.Out of nowhere with the sound of a massive thunder appeared a huge frightening looking beastbefore me.
'Who dares crossing my land in the night?', it growled at me.'M.. My- my name is Wematin.', I stuttered under my breath.Dark eyes with a bloody shimmer in them found me and I felt as if my skin started burning.'You look delicious, child. I will take you home and grill you in the fireplace.''Please no! I just want to visit my grandmother. She is very ill!', I cried panicked.The monster did not care. With its huge teeth it grabbed my neck and enfolded wings whichcut me from my beloved starlight.
I screamed and desperately tried to free myself from his fangs, but I was too weak.When he lifted himself into the air I felt like my heart was dropping and lost consiousness.

As I woke up I thought it had just been a dream, because it was so dark around, like I wasin my parent's house at night. But then I realised there was just the tiniest speck of light somewhere at the edge of my vision.
'Are you awake?', mumbled a thin voice.
Not sure whether I should answer or not I decided to pretend to be asleep.
'You don't have to be scared, little pup. I'm just as much a prisoner as you are. My name isEstrella.', she continued.
''Estrella' like 'star'?', I wondered, forgetting my worries.
'Yes, I am a feary, trapped here by the same monster that brought you last night. I've beenhere for a long time now and my light is fading. If I don't see the stars soon, I...'
'We have to find a way out! What can we do?', I whispered.
'I know a way out, but it is too small for you. If you broke my cage I could fly off and seekhelp from my other feary friends, so thogether we can free you.'
Without hesitation I got up and slowly craweld over to her. She sat in a tiny ball of metallwith no door. I put my horns between two bars and pushed and turned my head with as much forceas I could muster, when with a terrible sound my right horn burst. I cried out in terrorand stared at it. Estrella wound her way through the hole and touched thestump of my horn.
'I will be back as soon as I can.', she gently wiped away the tears underneath my eyes andbefore I realised she was gone through a crack in the wall.

I sat in the cell for days, lonely and tired. My head hurt and I couldn't sleep becauseof nightmares haunting me, where the big beast came to eat me. Luckily I still had everythingI brought with me when I went to my Omi. My hood was my blanket. I ate the food I had left.And touched the flowers I had picked, when I felt like my former life had all been a dream.

Finally one day, or night, I awoke from bright lights shining through my lids. When I openedmy eyes there they were: hundreds of fearies surrounding me and whispering in a language Icouldn't understand.
Then I saw Estrella: 'I'm so sorry it took us so long. We have found a spell that will makeyou one of us, so you can escape through the same hole I did. And then we will bring you home,where you belong and turn you back into yourself.'
All she said happened and it happened so fast that now, thinking back, I can only remember ablur of bright colours until the moment I stood before my parents' house.They ran out and embraced me and for the first time in a long time I felt safe again.

This story lies years in the past. My Omi got well and now lives with my parents, but I soonleft home to find the beast and hopefully, together with my feary friends, I can defeat it soit never kidnaps poor children ever again.
