the little ghost

A small pink kumos steps daintily down the sidewalk, turning at each passerby and staring with large blue eyes. Hardly anyone notices her, as tiny as she is. She can't see them, but she does smell them, strong scents of life, sweat, and stress at the end of the day.

A little winged cat on her shoulder whispers something to her and she moves on. She's on her way to the candle shop. The small pink kumos likes the smells, and she's all the more sensitive to them with the loss of her vision. She doesn't worry about having open flames at home because the little winged cat always keeps them out of her way.

The little kumos is on her way home from her job at a perfume and cologne shop. It's something that she enjoys, regardless of some of the small misfortunes that have gone along with it; not all the perfumes start off well. Her job is to smell the various new samples that the owner develops, trying to find anything wrong with them. Usually, there's some small thing, such as too much of one element that it would go unnoticed by virtually all of the customers, but it's still worth it. They aren't called the best shop in the city for no reason!

The cat flutters nervously on her shoulders. It's getting cooler, so the rain is probably coming. The kumos has felt the pressure dropping all day, so she assumes that the storm is probably going to be rather miserable. She continues on her way home.
