Possibly the most dangerous and almost certainly the most unpredictable member of the family, Ashlea is a succubus with a darker side. During the day, she's a pampered, fussy socialite with a penchant for all things Japanese. By night, she's running out of places to hide the bodies.

Referred to by her housemates only as 'the Darker', Ashlea's alter ego is sadistic, implacable and utterly insane. She stalks the streets in Ash's body at night, destroying anything or anyone that takes her fancy. What happened to make her this way, nobody knows, save that it wasn't pretty.

Ironically, the only thing which seems to be able to stop the Darker to date is the smell of blood. Ashlea carries a vial of it on her person at all times, although this hasn't precisely worked well so far.

In her spare time - and when she's not busy driving everybody crazy with her spoilt-brat personality - Ashlea sleeps a lot, since the time she spends as the Darker tires her out.

Ashlea sometimes says that the Darker may be the manifestation of her rage at all those that have broken and abused her down the centuries.

The Darker never says anything.
