Me!
PIMP COIN

Now, this is the story all about howMy life got flipped-turned upside downAnd I'd like to take a minuteJust sit right thereI'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air

In west Philadelphia born and raisedOn the playground was where I spent most of my daysChillin' out maxin' relaxin' all coolAnd all shootin some b-ball outside of schoolWhen a couple of guysWho were up to no goodStartin making trouble in my neighborhoodI got in one little fight and my mom got scaredShe said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air'

I whistled for a cab and when it came nearThe license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirrorIf anything I can say is that this cab was rareBut I thought 'Man forget it' - 'Yo home to Bel Air'

I pulled up to the house about seven or eightAnd I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'I looked to my kingdomI was finally thereTo sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

BEFORE:

Hey check this out man
There was this blind man right,
He was feelin' his way down the street with a stick right
He walked past this fish market, you know what I'm sayin'
He stopped he took a deep breath he said
"Snfffffff, woooo good morning ladies"

"Yo did yo like dat shit yo? My name is Keetosheema an I'm da toughest most gangsta pet around here. Yo think yo can take me? I dun think so! Where all my lady keeto's at?!"

Keetosheema grew up in Veta Lake, in a run down part of town. The oldest son of a single mom, his mom worked a full time job and he had to take care of his younger brothers, Dashonte and Quintrell. When he was 15, he dropped out of school and joined a local street gang called the Pips. They were a close knit family, that were all the time doing juvenile things like graffiti or breaking mailboxes, however they never did anything worse than that.

When he was 17 a rival gang started going into their territory, the Muds. The Muds were everything the Pips were too afraid to do. Robbings, killings, rapes skyrocketed in their neighborhood, and soon Keetosheema found himself in some real life gang fights. He was stabbed when he was 19, and saved from a fatal gunshot wound by a huge medallion he had around his neck. He was arrested for the first time at age 20 for underage drinking, drug possession, communicating of threats and resisting arrest. During his brief stint in the county jail, he decided that he had had enough.

When he was released, he went home to find one of his brother Quintrell had died 2 months ago in a drive by, and his mother was in a coma in the Veta Lake Mercy Clinic from a gunshot wound. Grabbing Dashonte, who had been taking care of himself for months, Keetosheema stormed out of the house and to his secret money stash he had hidden from the various odd jobs, robberies or drug sales he did, and fled to Centropolis. He rented a small apartment where he took care of his brother who was now 16 himself.

AFTER:

Keetosheema got a full time job working in a balloon manufacturing plant and transferred his mother over to the Centropolis Hospital. When he was 22, he got a small promotion, and also landed his brother a part time job at the plant.

When he was 25, he watched Dashonte graduate high school with honors, and get accepted into Riverside University with a major in law enforcement. Sometimes Keetosheema wonders what happened to his Pips friends. They probably became just like the Muds, and he hopes he never has to go back to that horrible area.

Now Keetosheema and Dashonte are just trying to make a better life for themselves. Keetosheema hardly sees his brother anymore, since his brother is excelling in school and hardly has time for visits. Keetosheema talks to him on the phone, Dashonte tells him he got a girlfriend and that he's getting straight A's. He thanks Keetosheema for all that he did for him growing up, and Keetosheema smiles.

Everyday Keetosheema visits his mother and tells her how his day went and how Dashonte is doing great in school, and has become a strong independent man. He knows she can't hear him, but it makes him feel better. He hopes that one day she will wake up, she will wake up and be so proud of how far they have come.
