I am cursed. My family were once a great and powerful family of royal blood. Sadly, this didn't go unnoticed by Merana. Who decided that she was infinitely more powerful and important than my father. She was right I suppose. But my father will always be the greater in my eyes. For my father refused to give in to Merana's requests. I was the youngest and therefore was not supposed to be in court. I had managed to find a compartment of wall to hide in and spy from there. The rest of my family were there, and at that age, I felt as if I was missing out on some great secret.

I watched in horror as Merana and her minions slaughtered my family. And then I screamed, I could not stop screaming. Even if it meant Merana would find me and do the same to me as my family. I didn't care. She did find me. But kill me, she did not. Instead I was changed to the accursed form of the Hydrus. Doomed to forever swim the murky depths searching for Merana and my revenge.
