Orchid
Legacy Name: Orchid

The little fairy struggled to free herself from the brambles. She was usually very cautious of the dangerous areas of the wood, but she was was always a curious one. She reached up and tried to untangle her long, gossamer hair from the thorns and twigs, but it was proving to be difficult. She let out a small squeak of pain as her hair pulled from her head.

The fairy rested her knees on a branch and held her head with a look of desperation in her eyes. She wanted to to avoid cutting her hair as much as possible because she adored it so much. She sat there, alone in the thorny shrub. She hoped that the others would come looking for her, but inside she knew they were too cowardly to leave their sanctuary deep in the forest.

The leaves outside the bushes rustled as something moved along the outside of the thicket. Sun pierced her dense prison of twigs as massive figure appeared above her. She tried her best to hide herself under the leaves, but the thorns wouldn't let her get far.

"Oh...! Oh dear, you poor thing. Hold still now, let me help you." said the figure as their hands reached down toward her. She began to panic. The elder fairies had told stories of what these large creatures would do with their kind. With her eyes shut tight, she knew death would only be moments away. After a few minutes, her hair fell weightless again, free from the bramble.

"There we are, all better now"
