A Little Bit of Background
I was the first pet to be adopted by Ice_Angel. And like an other pet, I was common. She played with me every single day. Then, one Christmas she told me she had a surprise for me. I love gifts so I was thrilled! She gave me a glass pitcher of frosted water. I gave her a funny look, but her face was beaming. So I shrugged and drank the cold water. It was so pure and refreshing. I wanted more when i was done. That night. my dreams were of landscapes frozen over. gorgeous snow birds and everything else had been frosted over. The next morning i woke up on a cold bed. I didn't feel cold but my bed had flakes of ice resting on it. Mom came out, squealed, and gave me a tight hug around the neck. She held up a mirror and in it I saw a wolf. Not just any wolf, but a spirit wolf. A wolf with cold eyes. I didn't like that. My eyes didn't describe me anymore. They didn't show the warmth I had inside me. I wondered if maybe people would misjudge me. Mom thought I was thrilled at first, too. But she started to see the way I looked at the mirror. I stared. I gave a questioning expression. She began to worry about me. She decided to take me to the vet. In the vets office was another spirit wolf. But she was never kumos.Her eyes were soft and her markings were different. She explained to me how I am me. I am an individual who is unique. She helped me accept myself for who I am. I would have to say it was the best Christmas present ever. Thanks to it, I found myself.
